Osteopathy

Osteopathy in Longstanton

Understand what may be affecting your movement and explore care shaped around your symptoms, preferences and everyday life.

At Longstanton Wellness, you will work with Rachel Say, a registered osteopath with particular interests in persistent pain, healthy ageing, balance and complex health concerns.

Your appointment gives you time to explain what has changed, how it affects you and what you would like to be different. Rachel will assess the relevant muscles, joints and movement, explain her findings and discuss the available options with you.

The profession

What Is Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a regulated healthcare profession concerned with the muscles, joints and movement. An osteopathic assessment considers the area that is troubling you alongside factors such as strength, mobility, previous injuries, general health and the demands of everyday life.

Where osteopathic care is appropriate, it may combine hands-on treatment, movement or exercise and practical advice. You and Rachel will agree what to include, and you can ask questions, request changes, pause or stop at any time.

Is this for me

Reasons People Book

  • Back, neck, joint or muscular pain
  • Pain or stiffness affecting everyday movement
  • A sports, work-related or recurring injury
  • Changes in strength, balance or mobility
  • Persistent pain or several concerns affecting one another
  • Headaches associated with tension or restricted neck movement
  • Recovery following injury, illness or surgery
  • A new physical symptom that has not yet been assessed

You do not need to know what is causing your symptoms before booking. If another service or medical assessment would be more appropriate, Rachel will explain this and discuss the next steps with you.

  3. We explain

Rachel will talk through her findings, what may be contributing to your symptoms and whether osteopathic care is an appropriate option.

  4. We agree the next step

Where appropriate, treatment can begin at the first appointment. Any plan will reflect your needs, preferences and what feels manageable to you.

Osteopathy Appointments

Osteopathy Consultation

60 minutes · £77

Start here if you are new to osteopathy or have a new concern that has not been assessed. The appointment includes time to discuss your symptoms, a physical assessment and an explanation of the available options.

Where appropriate and with your agreement, treatment can begin during the consultation.

Osteopathy Follow Up

45 minutes · £73

Review what has changed since your previous appointment and continue or adapt your agreed care. This appointment is for existing osteopathy clients.

Compression Recovery

60 minutes · £53

Rest your legs in sequential pneumatic compression after exercise, sport or a physically demanding period. The inflatable garments apply rhythmic, gradually changing pressure around the legs, creating a relaxing session when they feel tired or heavy.

Compression Recovery does not include an osteopathic assessment. If you have a new injury, unexplained swelling or a diagnosed circulatory or lymphatic condition, we will check whether this is an appropriate appointment before proceeding.
